O Teatro da Luz, ou Teatro D. Luiz Filipe (letra A, no mapa), localizado no Largo da Luz, na Freguesia de Carnide, em Lisboa, fica a paredes-meias com a Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz e perto do Colégio Militar (letra C, no mapa).

Antigamente, os aristocratas deslocavam-se em carruagens próprias e os populares iam de burro ou a pé. Quando se inaugurou o elevador de S. Sebastião da Pedreira, em 1899, o percurso ficou mais encurtado, através da Estrada da Luz, por Sete Rios.

Em 1929, com o estabelecimento da linha de eléctricos, que ligava os Restauradores a Carnide, o acesso ficou facilitado...

Hoje, não é problemático lá chegar.

Lesboa Party [Edição de Carnaval]

A Lesboa Party de Carnaval, direccionada a gays, lésbicas e a todos aqueles que apreciam boa música e bom ambiente, realiza-se dia 15 de Fevereiro, a partir das 23h30, no Teatro da Luz, em Lisboa.

No lineup, além de Miss T (warm up) e do DJ Fernando, tem também a italiana Lusky DJ (residente nas famosas festas Venus Rising Rome) que se apresenta pela primeira vez em Portugal.

Sem residência fixa, o local escolhido para a realização da Lesboa Party de Carnaval foi, como já é tradição nas festas Lesboa, criteriosamente seleccionado.

O Teatro da Luz, no Largo da Luz, em Carnide, prepara-se, assim, para receber, na segunda para terça de Carnaval, a edição carnavalesca daquela que é, desde 2006, a mais importante e concorrida festa LGBT e heterofriendly da cidade.

Lesboa Party [Carnival Edition]

Lesboa Party – Carnival Editon is an event oriented to the gay & lesbian community, and to all of those who enjoy good music and good vibes. It will take place on Monday, February 15th, 2010, from 11:30pm, at Teatro da Luz, Lisbon.

On the line-up, Miss T (warm-up) and DJ Fernando. In addition for the very first time in Portugal, we will be having the Italian DJ Lusky, the celebrated Venus Rising Rome parties’ resident DJ.

Lesboa Party is an itinerant event; as usual, the place chosen to hold Lesboa Party – Carnival Edition was carefully selected. Teatro da Luz, at Largo da Luz, Lisbon, is getting ready to welcome on holiday’s (Mardi Gras) eve, the carnival edition of the most important and popular LGBT and heterofriendly party, since 2006.

Local e dress code

De um antigo convento fez-se o actual Teatro da Luz. Aqui, a aura conventual ainda impera e promete enriquecer esta Lesboa de Carnaval. Mas, atenção, as freiras ficam à porta. É que a temática carnavalesca escolhida para a festa de Carnaval é Fairy Tales, dress code proposto para a exaltação de personagens ligadas ao universo dos contos de fada.

Alguns exemplos: “Rapunzel”, “Branca de Neve e os Sete Anões”, “A Bela Adormecida”, “Capuchinho Vermelho”, “O Gato das Botas”, “A Gata Borralheira”, “Alice no País das Maravilhas”, entre muitos outros.

Venue and dress code

Teatro da Luz was once a convent, and a somewhat monastic aura still prevails, which will definitely enrich this Lesboa Party – Carnival Edition. But – beware! – nuns will have to stay outside! The party’s theme is Fairy Tales, and the suggested dress code is meant to pay tribute to that magical universe.

Here are some examples: “Rapunzel”, “Snow-White and the Seven Dwarfs”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Little Red Riding Hood”, "Puss in Boots", “Cinderella”, “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland”, and many others.

Alinhamento musical

Independentemente da fantasia, se é de bruxa ou gnomo, os protagonistas da noite serão, sem sombra de dúvida, os foliões. E a música, atendendo a gostos variados, será a receita para uma noitada de celebração, e folia, onde o samba não entra, dará lugar aos hits (de Madonna a Billy Idol), às batidas de house/dance music e aos sons de toada electrónica. Nos ecrãs, visuals com a assinatura de Razor Collective.

Na pista, localizada no salão nobre do Teatro da Luz, a noite começa com Miss T, aquecendo o público com sonoridades sexys, electrizantes e fisicamente irresistíveis (desde hits dos 80's e 90's até à actualidade, com rock, alternativa e disco). O senhor que se segue, dispensa apresentações: DJ Fernando, que acaba de lançar o CD “Anual Mix 2010”, é reconhecido pelo seu trabalho na rádio Orbital e pelas suas produções e remixes de House/Dance hits do momento.

A DJ convidada Lusky (DJ residente da mítica Venus Rising Rome) assume a cabine e os pratos por volta das quatro da manhã, e promete levar a multidão ao delírio com a sua energia contagiante e batidas electrónicas. Figura incontornável do circuito gay italiano (Gorgeous I'm & Gay Village), Lusk DJ é uma das poucas mulheres deejaying regularmente nos clubes gays mais famosos de Roma e da Europa e actuando nos principais Festivais e Prides europeus.

Musical line-up

It does not matter if you come as a witch or a gnome, the night’s central characters will be the party people. Music, covering a wide variety of styles, will be the main ingredient of a night made to celebrate. Samba will be replaced by pop hits (from Madonna to Billy Idol), house/dance music and electronic sounds. At the same time, screens will display visuals by Razor Collective.

On the dance floor, located in the theatre’s Grand Hall, the night opens with Miss T, who will warm up the partygoers with sexy, electrifying and physically irresistible tunes (hits from the 80’s to the present, mixing rock, alternative and disco music). Next, someone who does not need introduction: DJ Fernando, who just released his CD “Annual Mix 2010”, broadly renowned for his work in Orbital radio, and for producing and remixing some of the greatest house/dance hits of the moment.

Guest DJ Lusky (Venus Rising Rome’s resident DJ) takes control of the cabin and of the turntables around 4:00pm, and she will make the crowd go wild with her contagious energy and electronic beats. Figurehead of the Italian gay circuit (Gorgeous I'm & Gay Village), Lusky DJ is one of the very few women regularly deejaying at the most famous clubs in Rome and Italy and around Europe, attending the main European festivals and gay pride parades.

GUEST DJ LUSKY [Venus Rising Rome]

Lusky dj is one of the very few women regularly deejaying at the most famous clubs in Rome and Italy and around Europe. Born musically in the Italian Gay Circuit (Gorgeous I'm & Gay Village)under the guide of Annachiara, she developed soon a great passion into electronic music changing radically the sound of the Gay Italian Circut itself. With personal, powerfull music style based on a total crossover beetween many music styles, Lusky is probably the most influential dj in the whole Gay Italian scene.

The list of the clubs where Lusky played in the years would be long but, just to give an idea, she is the resident dj of GORGEOUS I'M and the Venus Rising @ Goa Club, Rome’s main clubbing winter events, all flowing into the most important summer event of the Capital, where Lusky is resident dj since its first edition: GAY VILLAGE. Long as well would be the list of Italian and international dj guests she shared the decks with.

Also resident @ MEATPIE (a new reality in the undergroud scene) and @FRONTIERA (the longest running roman After Hour). Dj guest of many queer parties and festival such as AMIGDALA (Rome) & SABOTAGE (Berlin), Nightkomm (Cologne) she also attended many international electronic music festivals and events like Electrode,LPM(Live Perfomers Meeting)@Brancaleone, among the others.

In 2004 Lusky dj jumps on RADIO LONDRA’s consolle, Rome’s historical club, the legendary cradle of the capital’s new music trends for over fifteen years. She was resident dj at Fiera di Roma for New Year’s Eve “AMORE 2005”,the most important New Year event of the whole Europe with more than 25.000 people and international guests from all over the world. Lusky dj is also proudly present at every Gay Pride street parade in Rome since years, involving and amusing thousands of participants.

Winter 2007 starts the production in partnership with one of the most influential and important Italian electronic producer. Summer 2008 lusky joined the CIRCUIT FESTIVAL (Barcelona). Winter 2008 back to AMORE 09 Festival.In Summer 2009 @ Circut Festival Lusky was the first Italian woman dj to play @ SOUVENIR, the legendary after hour in Barcelona.
